This project plans the construction of a building hosting a two-star hotel complex (112 rooms) and a three-star one (115 rooms) as well as 850 m2 office spaces. The building includes 2 lower ground floors, 1 ground floor and 4 levels.
The facade is covered with dots of powdercoated aluminium sheet. This casing is inspired by a haute couture dress by the famous fashion designer Paco Rabanne. Three textures of dots have been chosen, these reflect differently the light according to the hours of the day.
The BIM technology (Building Information Modeling) was primarily used for designing this hotel. Each employer's agent worked on a centralised model that allowed to anticipate several coordination conflicts between HVAC, architects and civil engineers. All formwork plans and most of the framing plans are directly based on the 3D model.
